laurabryannan has opened her own back-up Dragon ER at dreamwidth here.

Other places to go with your dragons if LJ crashes again -
*The Dragon Cave Forum has a long list of various fansites and ERs posted here
*I myself prefer Silvi's.

Eggs/hatchlings saved so far

We thought it would be fun to keep a running total of how many eggs and hatchlings that are saved. :D

When you make a post - please do not delete it when your babies have been saved. Just edit your post to remove them and let me know how many were saved. I will delete your post once I have taken note of the numbers.

FAQ [Jun. 24th, 2010|10:29 pm]
Dragon Emergency Room

We thought it would be a bit easier if there was a place that often asked questions could be answered. Hopefully any other questions would be answered in the Rules post. :)

Q: My egg / hatchling is at 2 days 1 hour, is it okay to post it?
A: No, it isn't. Only eggs that are 1 day and 23 hours or lower may be posted at dragon_er.

Q: I've been warned two times for two different things, does that mean that I can do those two things over again and it's only considered a second warning?
A: NO! Each warning, not matter what the offense goes against your name, so a third offense would mean banning.

Q: Do I need to use a lj-cut?
A: No, we ask that you don't use a lj-cut, because without it you'll get more views and a better chance to save your dragons.

Q: Is this community friends locked?
A: No! We ask that you make sure to keep your posts public as well, this will give your dragons the best chance to be saved.

Q: How do I refresh, and what am I refreshing?
A: You can find refreshers on the internet. If you use the firefox browser there's an add-on called ReloadEvery. You can also simply pound the F5 key. You refresh on the LJ post, not the dragon's own dragcave page.

Q: I would like to talk to a moderator about something but I'm uncomfortable putting it in a post here. What should I do?
A: Please feel free to PM any of the moderators with questions or concerns. We're here to help you and appreciate what you have to tell us.

Q: What coding do I need to use for my posts in the community?
A: When you are on the dragcave.net site, go to your scroll and find the egg/hatchling that needs help. You'll then click the "Show HTML/BBCode links" link and then copy all the information out of the first box (HTML code). Then paste that information into your LJ post. This will give you everything that you need.

Rules [Jun. 24th, 2010|10:02 pm]
Dragon Emergency Room

* Be sure to read all the rules before posting in the community.

* ONLY eggs and hatchlings with LESS THAN TWO DAYS LEFT may be posted here! No exceptions.

* Do NOT post a link to any scroll! This community is for emergencies only.

* You may only post ONCE every hour. Otherwise please go back and edit your first post if you have more eggs or hatchlings to add.

* You must click on the other posts on the first page of the comm. No exceptions. These are emergencies and need all the help they can get.

* Please do not use lj-cuts when posting your eggs or hatchlings, this will guarantee the most views possible.

* Make sure when posting your egg or hatchling that you use the correct coding. We will delete posts if there is only a link.

* When posting, please include whether you're posting eggs or hatchlings. This will help the members see whether you're still in need of help, and also help the moderators when we clean out the community.

* Do NOT delete your own posts. When your dragons are saved, you are allowed to remove them from your post. Please let us know in the post how many dragons were saved as we like to keep count. A moderator will come through and clean up the posts themselves.

* Off topic posts will be deleted. Please do not ask questions about the site here. There is a forum for that.

* Posting here is NO GUARANTEE that your eggs/hatchlings will survive, especially if you have left it too long to post them. We will do our best to help though.

* Anyone posting hatchlings here so they can freeze them as soon as they get wings, and we find out about it, will be banned immediately. No excuses, no warnings.

* This is not a spam site. Do not ask those who have emergencies to click on your dragons at your own journal, or post your dragons in the comment of someone else's post; this is considered rude and will cause you to receive a warning.

* You must follow the TOS of the Dragon Cave site to post here.

* Break any rule and you will receive a warning. Three warnings will get you banned.

With all of your help we have saved over 20,000 eggs and hatchlings.

All of us here at dragon_er would like to thank you for making this community what it is. Without you there would be a lot less dragons in this world!

One of our memebers, jtbeckett made this adorable banner that anyone can grab and place in their own journals if you would like. I've also sized it down to a nifty little icon for those who would like one!
